Hard to say right now as a couple of guys came in with 10 games or less at the end of the AHL season. You never know.. Look at Gallagher. I am looking forward to watch Hudon, Bozon and Colberg (is he staying in Europe for another year?) play a full AHL season.

Can't wait to see what Bergevin does with his picks. Although he didn't want to admit upfront that the Habs needs size, it will definitely happen. UFA or trade? Wonder if he'll try to move up or just use all his picks. My bet is that every single one of them will be used on a draft and no trades will happen. Size will come via UFA.

None of those should be playing a full season in the AHL next year. Bozon and Hudon aren't eligible and Collberg will go back to Sweden if he doesn't make the Habs as he has a contract next season there.

The one guy we should be looking forward to watch is Danny Kristo. Should be interesting to see if the chemistry between him and Leblanc is still there.

would be nice if the two of them could form some chemistry with Galchenyuk too, i'm just hoping Galchenyuk can get something going with some of the younger players not named Gallagher, bring a lil magic out of them maybe

This draft is very deep.

Drafting 6 good players would help the habs tremendously down the road.

I say stand pat or make roster player for roster player trades.

Or even better, trade some roster players for more high picks.

Needs: Toughness moreso than size. Emelin isn't big but forwards have to know where he is on the ice. Same for PK. By contrast Gill and O'Byrne were big but not overly tough/physical.
Grit and size and toughness on the 4th line, Moen being the Moen of last year would help withthat. The white we saw after the suspension is the one we need too.

Should be a decent crop this year and there may be some solid players that could be had for a short contract for a decent price.

As I've said many times before, I would have traded this "great" shortened season and 5 playoff games for another top 5 pick any day of the week. This situation is crippling the team more than help it, as we, again, will draft between 20 - 25th pick. This doesn't help the rebuilding process.

As for trades, no one will want our old baggage. Gionta, Markov, Moen and DD are crippling the cap and will do so for the next few years. Although I've always been a huge Markov fan, the years and surgeries have now caught up to him.

Don't be surprised when the Habs finish very low in the standings next season.

Honestly, Bergevin has a bit of blind luck on his side. If the Habs repeat last years performance (which I personally highly doubt), then he looks like a genius. If you and I are right and they are out of the playoff picture, he's got some excellent rental players that will receive some interest (Gionta, Markov). Some tradeable players in Moen, Diaz, and one of Plekanec or Eller. Add that to the 6 picks this year, 3 in the top 40 no less, and the so called re-build can happen pretty fast.

Burying DD in Hamilton won't save much on the cap in the new CBA. He's better than this however. He is tradable. It's not like he's making 7.8mil/year.

Gionta could be moved regardless of where the Habs are. If they have any success next year, it'll probably be on the back of their PP so I don't think Markov would be tradeable in that moment.

DD really sucks. I was pretty sad when I heard about the extension. He is tradeable but at 3.5, we won't get much in return.
